The Laowa 15mm F/4.5 Wide Angle Macro 0.5x lens for Sony FE has an ultra-wide-angle perspective of 110.5°, making it ideal for landscapes, architecture, as well as macro photography thanks to its 0.5x magnification. This allows photographers to create fascinating images by combining foreground subjects with extensive background details. Unlike 1:1 or 2:1 magnification, 0.5x magnification offers a more practical focusing distance, allowing you to capture your subject in the foreground while adding as much background detail as possible for an interesting, unique shot.
The optical design consists of 16 elements divided into 11 groups, comprising three ED glass elements and two aspherical elements to effectively control chromatic aberration and distortion. This results in high-quality images with superior clarity and detail.
