Laowa 15mm F/4.5 0.5x Wide Angle Macro for Canon RF
The Laowa 15mm F/4.5 0.5x Wide Angle Macro lens for Canon RF is versatile for Full frame mirrorless cameras, whether shooting landscapes, architecture or close-ups. Its 1:2 magnification and short working distance make it easy to take impressive wide-angle macro shots.
The short minimum focusing distance of just 12.9 cm allows for interesting wide-angle macro shots, with the subject in the foreground beautifully detached from the background. Unlike 1:1 or 2:1x magnification, the 1:2x magnification offers a more practical focusing distance, allowing you to place the main subject large in the foreground while still including many surrounding details in the shot.
Thanks to the powerful optical design, consisting of 16 elements in 11 groups (including two aspherical and four high-quality ED lenses), image quality is excellent. Lens flare is also very well controlled.
Focusing is manual. Aperture is set electronically, directly on the Camera, and EXIF data is transferred. The 62mm filter thread for screw-in filters is convenient for use on the move. This eliminates the need for an additional filter holder.
