Description
Leica 11714 SUMMILUX-M 50 f/1.4 silver chrome finish
The Leica SUMMILUX-M 50 f/1.4 is a new lens in the Leica Classic line. It is based on the SUMMILUX-M 50 f/1.4 from 1959 and combines a classic vintage look with ultramodern technology. With this exceptionally bright lens you can create beautifully soft bokeh and a very shallow depth of field. Perfect for portrait photography.
The optical part is based on the second SUMMILUX-M 50 f/1.4 produced between 1962 and 2004, known for its impressive image quality at full aperture. With this new lens you can now shoot even sharper and more high-contrast images thanks to the most modern production techniques and the use of special types of glass. The lens has 12 lamellae and consists of 7 lens elements in 5 groups. Thanks to the extra-short focusing distance of 70 cm, it offers you even more creative freedom than its predecessor.
This new edition of the classic 50mm lens meets all the requirements of modern, high-resolution M cameras. The lens is hand-crafted from solid brass and has a high-quality, round vintage lens hood. The Leica SUMMILUX-M 50 f/1.4 comes in newly designed, plastic-free packaging.
