The Leica 13045 UVa II filter series VIII (black) is specifically recommended for the Leica Digital M8 camera. To maintain maximum optical clarity, the M8 - with its superior sensor - is not designed with a full IR protection filter system.
Being the perfect protection for front lens elements, today's UVa filters became the most popular accessory for Leica lenses. With the new UVa II filters, Leica has improved all optical parameters and extended the range to all filter sizes in the Leica S, SL, M and T lens ranges and for the Leica Q and X cameras.
