The Leica Summilux M F1.4 28mm Asph. is the very first Leica lens that has a large aperture of F1.4 combined with a wide angle of 28 mm. Thanks to the very high sharpness and the shallow depth of field, the image quality is unmistakable high and the topics can be easily isolated from the background. This makes the lens ideal for reportage photography, but it is also ideally suited for capturing architecture and landscapes.
The lens contains 10 lens elements in 7 groups, which takes care of a very high sharpness, a particularly accurate color reproduction and a high contrast of infinity to the minimum focus distance of 0.7 m. This lens not only produces an excellent image quality under all lighting conditions, it remains nevertheless a versatile and compact travel companion.
