NiSi HUC IR ND64 49mm
The NiSi HUC IR ND64 49mm is specially designed to reduce the amount of light entering the Camera by 6 stops. This filter is made of high-quality nano-coated optical glass to avoid losing even ééone detail. Neutral density filters do not affect the colour of the image and the density of 1.8 reduces light entering the Lens by 6 stops.
The ND filter darkens the entire image, allowing you to shoot with a larger Aperture or longer Shutter speed than normally required. By slowing down the exposure time or increasing the Aperture, you can control depth of field and convey movement in your images. The ND64 is generally used during the golden hour to create 1-2-minute exposures for smooth water or clouds. A 6-stop filter is also great for capturing dynamic water while retaining some texture for the golden hour.
By using neutral density filters, the Camera is vulnerable to infrared light, which will cast the unwanted red colour on photos when shooting with a small aperture. The added infrared protection coating on this filter helps eliminate infrared light through the lens to bring back the natural colour.
