The NiSi True Colour Polarizer linear Filter 4x5.65" is designed to reduce glare and reflections from non-metallic surfaces, increase the saturation and vibrancy of sky and foliage while optimising true colour rendering by eliminating the warming effect that many polarisers createëren. The True Colour PL removes the warm tone seen with other brands of polarising filters and offers more accurate true colour rendering of the scène. NiSi's Cinema 4x5.65" True Color Linear Polarizing Filter uses Cine Sealed technology that blackens the edge of the glass for extra durability. This technology reduces the impact of temperature fluctuations and keeps condensation out.
Polarising filters help reduce reflections and glare by filtering out light that has become polarised by reflection off a non-metallic surface. Light from the sun is naturally partly polarised by the reflection of electrons in air molecules, scattering the light into what looks like haze. A polarising filter arranges and filters this directionally polarised light perpendicular to the reflected light, allowing much of this light to be absorbed. This results in a noticeable reduction of glare and reflections from non-metallic surfaces and an increase in the saturation of skies, foliage and allows the Camera to capture what is below the surface of shallow water.
The NiSi 4x5.65" Range is compatible with all leading brands of matte boxes that meet the 4x5.65" standard. The Cinema Filters also meet the 4mm thickness which allows them to fit into filter cages or cage-less designs.
