Pentax 100mm F/2.8 HD DFA ED AW Macro black
Take beautiful macro images with the Pentax 100 mm f/2.8. By using an updated optical design, this lens optimises image quality and contrast. The lens delivers high-quality, sharp images - even at a wide aperture.
The lens includes one ED-glass optical element and two Anomalous Dispersion-glass optical elements to minimise a variety of irregularities. The high-quality, multi-layer HD coating significantly reduces reflections. The front of the optical element has a Super Protect coating to prevent smears and dust. The optical design provides clear, high-quality images. Both lens flare and ghosting are limited throughout the focal range, from the minimum focus distance to infinity.
When shooting at close range, the lens offers life-size magnification for refined, detailed close-ups. Thanks to a working distance of 13 centimetres (at life-size magnification), you can also capture all small subjects, such as insects, in pin-sharp detail. The circular aperture creates a natural, beautiful bokeh effect at an open aperture.
The lens is made of high-quality aluminium for an attractive, stylish look. The focus ring features Pentax's original Quick-Shift Focus System that allows you to instantly switch from automatic to manual focus after the subject is captured by the camera's autofocus system. The smooth, comfortable changeover greatly improves user-friendliness.
The lens is suitable for a range of outdoor environments thanks to its dust- and water-resistant build. The reliable design consists of six special sealing parts and prevents dust and moisture from entering the lens. Despite the improved optical design and the dust and weather-resistant build, the lens is compact and lightweight.
