The Pentax 50mm F/1.4 HD FA is a high-quality prime lens with a standard focal length and a superior, multi-layer coating.
The standard lens has a fixed focal length that is perfect for a wide range of subjects. The angle of view almost corresponds to the human eye, making the lens extremely versatile. The large maximum aperture of f/1.4 ensures images with very little depth of field, so your subject stands out well against the background. Eight aperture blades create a natural, soft bokeh effect for dreamy photos.
The high-quality, multi-layer HD coating effectively reduces distortion and ensures clear images with superior contrast. Even in demanding lighting conditions, images are well defined and clear from edge to edge. Pentax's special SP coating repels water and oil for effective lens protection.
An aperture ring on the lens body and a coupling mechanism with a motor-driven autofocus system make the lens fully compatible with older K-mount and film format SLR cameras. You can keep all the camera functions of older models when using the lens.
