Description
Pentax FA 85 mm f/1.4 ED SDM AW
The Pentax FA 85 mm f/1.4 ED SDM AW is a high performance lens with a fixed focal length of 85 mm. With a maximum aperture of f/1.4, the lens is very bright.
The prime lens is suitable for Pentax full-frame cameras. The 85 mm focal length is ideal for portraits. In combination with the large aperture, you get a beautifully balanced bokeh with a typical Pentax depth effect.
The FA 85 mm offers the best possible image quality with smooth sharpness and high contrast images with edge-to-edge definition. It is very robustly built and finished with high-quality materials. The lens incorporates 3 Super-ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) optical glass elements and moulded aspherical optical glass to compensate for spherical and chromatic aberrations. In addition, the lens is treated with a high-quality, multi-layer HD coating to counteract reflections.
Pentax especially developed a larger ring-type SDM (Supersonic Direct-drive Motor) for this lens. This ensures flawless and fast autofocus that is about 10 times faster than the conventional SDM motors previously found in Pentax lenses.
The AW (All Weather) equipment, with eight special sealing rings, prevents moisture and dust from penetrating the lens. When you combine the lens with a weatherproof Pentax camera, this forms a very durable and reliable unit, where almost no weather condition can't be handled. Plus, the front lens has Super-Protect (SP) coating, which repels dirt and moisture, and you can clean it more easily.
