The Pentax HD DA 55-300mm F4.5-6.3 ED PLM WR is a versatile high-quality telephoto zoom lens designed for APS-C format K-mount SLRs. It is equipped with a superior PLM (Pulse Autofocus Motor). This ensures a smooth, quiet auto focus operation which benefits to the shooting of photos and video recordings.
The telephoto zoom 55-300mm f / 4.5 to 6.3 lens is designed for APS-C format Pentax K-mount SLR s. This will provide you with an 84.5-460mm equivalent focal length.
Inside the lens construction is extra-low dispersion glass used to largely minimize chromatic aberration and fringing. It will ensure greater clarity of the image over the entire zoom range.
On the lens elements is an HD-coating applied in order to prevent flare and ghosting. In addition, it will ensure more contrast and color neutrality when working in dimly lit conditions. The PLM provides fast autofocus performance, which may be accompanied by an electromagnetic diaphragm. This will ensure a smooth and quiet operation making it ideal for video shooting.
The weatherproof construction is sealed on 11 crucial points in order to avoid as much as possible the ingress of water and dust. The front and rear elements are characterized by SP (Super Protect) coating in order to protect the glass from fingerprints, stains and other markings. The rounded nine-blade diaphragm guarantees a smooth bokeh quality when working with shallow depth of field and selective focus techniques.
