The Rollei Rock Solid Alpha XL MK III tripod is popular thanks to its extreme weather resistance and carrying capacity. It has a legendary reputation in advanced outdoor, travel and wildlife photography. It is the largest, sturdiest and most load-bearing member of the new Rock Solid Mark III tripod family. You can now equip the fully extended travel and outdoor tripod with up to 40 kg carrying capacity! This load capacity is even sufficient for high-end camcorders with extensive accessories or full-frame cameras with extremely long professional focal lengths.
The four segments of the incredibly stable and weatherproof tripod legs are carefully designed. The carbon legs are at a precisely calculated ideal angle to dissipate the stresses that occur during shooting. The total weight is less than 3.5 kg despite the increased carrying capacity, the screw-on steel spikes are ideal for carrying your valuable photographic equipment safely and immobile, even on jagged rocky surfaces or slippery ice. The quick release buckles on the tripod leg segments can be released and secured very quickly.
Like the previous model, the Rollei Rock Solid Alpha XL Mark III Outdoor tripod comes without a tripod head to ensure your full mounting flexibility. The Alpha XL Mark III has an integrated levelling unit that allows you to quickly and easily balance your camera. The sturdy tripod mount has a 3/8-inch and a 1/4-inch thread and is designed with an easy-to-read spirit level.
