Description
The Sigma 20 mm F/2.0 DG DN is a compact full-frame prime lens for system cameras. The lens is an addition to the Sigma I series and delivers astonishing performance in a compact size.
This Sigma ultra-wide-angle lens combines a bright maximum aperture of F/2 with a focal length of 20 millimetres for a wide angle of view with enormous amounts of detail. Even at the widest aperture setting, the Sigma 20 mm F/2.0 DG DN achieves the highest level of optical performance. The lens construction includes three precision glass moulded aspherical elements, an SLD element and an FLD element to suppress a range of optical aberrations. The result is clear and razor-sharp images across the entire viewing angle. By suppressing comatic aberrations, bright points of light are accurately reproduced. The optical design of the lens and the Super Multi-Layer Coating and Nano Porous Coating ensures minimal flare and reflection. Even when shooting in bright light, you still achieve sharp results with high contrast.
Despite the astonishing performance, the lens remains surprisingly small. The exceptionally small design is only 72.4 cm long, and weighs just 370 grams. Thanks to its compact size, the lens is extremely suitable for everyday use. The lens is also ideal for shooting landscapes, wide-angle portraits, weddings and interiors. Thanks to the suppression of comatic aberrations, the Sigma 20 mm F/2.0 DG DN is also perfect for astrophotography.
The high-quality, durable aluminium precision parts give the Sigma 20 mm F/2.0 DG DN a sleek and stylish look. Metal parts that rotate with the control ring are also used in the internal structure for extra strength. The precision parts are ergonomic and pleasant to use. The ring between the focus ring and the aperture ring is made using hairline processing, and provides support when inserting or removing the lens. The sleek metal design, signature magnetic lens cap, manual aperture ring and exceptional quality make using this lens highly intuitive and enjoyable.
