The Sirui RX-2 combines the ultra strong Sirui RX-2214 Reporter carbon tripod and the robust aluminium Sirui K-20II ball head. This combination makes it a heavy-duty tripod model that is suitable for photography as well as for professional video recording.
Sirui RX-2214 Reporter
The Sirui RX-2214 Reporter is an ultra strong carbon tripod from Sirui's RX range that distinguishes itself from other tripods with its removable mounting plate. Thanks to this unique feature, the mounting plate can be swapped for the 75 mm bowl or the centre column. An Allen key is included to facilitate this. The RX-2214 has four leg sections that you can adjust by means of a twist lock and the maximum height, including the centre column is 183 centimetres. Because the leg position is also adjustable, a minimum height of just 11.5 centimetres can be attained, which is ideal for macrophotography, for example. The maximum load capacity of this tripod is a whopping 20 kg, so you can also work with heavy DSLRs and video cameras. The RX-2214 Reporter has rubber feet as standard, but steel spikes are included which gives the tripod extra grip on soft surfaces.
Sirui K-20II Ball Head
The robust Sirui K-20II Ball Head is made of aluminium and has a maximum load capacity of 25 kg. The ball head features Sirui's safety mechanism with a secondary lock on the clamp. This allows you to move your camera, and you don't have to worry about your equipment sliding off the ball head. The K-20II has two panning and friction locking knobs for greater flexibility. There is a panning control button via which you can quickly and easily make adjustments to the ball head without impacting any other settings. Friction is easy to adjust to the weight of your equipment via the lock button. If you want to precision-adjust your equipment horizontally and vertically, the ball head has three spirit levels within the platform.
