The SmallRig Lightweight Travel Tripod AP-01 3987 is specially designed for (travel) photography and is compact and lightweight. When fully folded, the tripod has a length of only 51 centimetres and its weight is 1090 grams. This means you can always fit the tripod in your (hand) luggage and it is ideal for travelling.
A conscious decision was made not to use round tubes with this tripod and not to add a centre column, allowing the tripod to be folded even more compactly. The legs of this tripod consist of four sections and are made of aluminium. You can position the legs at an angle of 23, 55 or 85 degrees, whereby the wider the angle, the more stable the tripod. The legs have silicone feet and hidden spikes so it can be used flawlessly even on softer surfaces.
A fluid-damped ball head with Arca-Swiss quick coupling has been chosen and this allows you to position the camera both horizontally and vertically. This also makes the tripod ideal for 360-degree panoramic photos. The built-in spirit level allows you to keep full control over your horizon.
