The Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III VXD G2 (Model A063) is a zoom lens. The lens is the successor to the popular 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III RXD (Model A036). This upgraded lens has the compact form of its predecessor, along with a new optical construction on the basis of a design that was upgraded in order to improve image performance. This lens' functions are compatible with the latest models of digital cameras which offer a higher resolution.
With a minimum focal distance of just 18 cm in the wide-angle setting, and a maximum magnification factor of 1:2.7, this lens offers advanced performance for close-up recordings. Furthermore, the lens has a new housing design.
The Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III VXD G2 is compatible with the new 'Tamron Lens Utility' software developed by Tamron. The 'Tamron Lens Utility' software runs on the user's computer, by connecting the lens via the special port with the optional Tamron USB-C connection cable. Users can adapt the lens' functions and update the firmware via the lens as opposed to via the camera body.
