Tamron 70-180mm F/2.8 Di III VC VXD G2 Nikon Z mount
The Tamron 70-180mm F/2.8 Di III VC VXD G2 Nikon Z mount is a versatile 70-180mm zoom lens for portraits, weddings, wildlife and sports photography, among other things. This new G2 version is the successor to the popular Tamron 70-180mm F/2.8 Di III VC VXD.
This zoom lens is known for its light and compact design. It is one of the lightest and most compact lenses in its class.
Despite this, it has a completely new optical design. The lens consists of a total of 20 glass elements divided into 15 groups. Among other things, the 3 aspherical and 4 LD (low dispersion) elements ensure fantastic performance across the entire zoom range.
The lens has a constant maximum aperture of F/2.8 for great depth of field and beautiful bokeh. The nine aperture blades ensure a perfect, almost round opening.
With this lens, you'll never miss a perfect moment. Thanks to the VXD4 linear motor focus mechanism, the autofocus is super fast and very accurate. Camera shake is effectively suppressed by Tamron's VC5 mechanism. This ensures sharp results during telephoto shots, in low light or close-ups. Something that was only possible manually with the first model is focusing the autofocus. With this new model, the autofocus focuses from 30 cm at 70 mm. The working distance of this Tamron 70-180 mm G2 is an extremely small 12 cm, and with a magnification factor of 1:2.6, you can also take beautiful (macro) nature shots with this zoom lens.
The lens has a professional, sturdy housing. It also has a moisture-resistant construction and a handy zoom lock. This makes the lens more robust and prevents it from extending unnecessarily in your bag.
The Tamron 70-180mm F/2.8 Di III VC VXD G2 is compatible with the Tamron Lens Utility software. This allows you to change lens settings, assign camera body functions and update firmware when necessary.
