Originally launched as part of the Simera-C film series, this lens is now available in a photographic version with an M bayonet that retains the same film standards. It features a 14-blade aperture that maintains a perfectly round shape throughout the range from f/1.4 to f/16. Precision-moulded and polished aspherical elements effectively eliminate unwanted bokeh artefacts such as "onion ring" or "donut" effects and ensure clear, natural light transitions.
The Simera 21mm f/1.4 lens consists of 13 optical elements in 11 groups, including 2 aspherical elements, 3 high refractive index elements and 3 low light scatter elements, and also includes a floating lens group. This construction ensures minimal chromatic aberration and virtually no Distortion, even at maximum aperture, while offering exceptional Resolution across the entire image area - from the centre to the edges.
