This fast manual focus lens is designed for Sony-E mount cameras and gives a nostalgic touch to the images. An aperture-de-click switch on the barrel next to the aperture control ring allows users to seamlessly switch between smooth and clicky operation, making this prime well-suited for both videography and photography.
The Simera 28mm f/1.4 features an aspherical element and three high refractive index elements to reduce colour aberration and improve image quality. Thanks to the ability to capture images with a bright aperture of f/1.4, you are assured of high-quality images even in adverse lighting conditions.
The lens's 14-blade aperture creates a circular bokeh that gives the subject a soft and pleasant frame, which is especially useful for portraits. When capturing close-up subjects, a minimum focus of 40cm is available. When you set the setting to 70cm, you'll feel a dampening to warn you that the lens's focusing distance is about to exceed the limit of the camera body.
