The Tokina SZX Super Tele 500mm F/8.0 Reflex MF is a 500mm super-telephoto lens and offers an alternative to standard telephoto lenses. The SZX travels with ease due to its light weight and compact size. But despite these features, the Tokina SZX Super Tele brings distant objects closer with simplicity at a distance that cannot be achieved with standard zoom lenses.
The lens has a catadiopical optical design and a constant aperture of f/8.0. The lens elements are coated with a multilayer anti-reflection coating. This allows you to use a slower shutter speed in low light. The highly reflective silver-plated coating on the mirrored surfaces and the protected anti-oxidant coating on the back, ensure longer lens life.
The Tokina SZ Super Tele 500mm f/8.0 Reflex MF has a field of view is 4°8' (per image diagonal) and a minimum focusing distance of 170 centimetres. It has a magnification of 1:2.86 to capture an object measuring 6 x 9 centimetres fullframe. These features will help you avoid shadows or not scare off insects while taking close-up photos.
