Recommended UV Filters
A UV filter consists of tempered glass that brakes the effect of UV radiation. Cameras often already have a built-in sensor that repels UV radiation, which is why a UV filter is often bought to protect the expensive camera lens. Our list of Recommended UV filters consists of strong, high-quality filters, so you can be sure your lens is well protected. (The filters are available in different sizes.)

Affordable lens protection
Firstly, a UV filter protects the image from UV radiation, but since digital cameras are already often built to prevent this radiation, a UV filter is bought as protection for the expensive lens. In addition, a UV filter is ideal for preventing dust and dirt from entering the lens. This makes the protective effect of a UV filter an added value in digital photography.
UV filters are available from Hoya, B+W and Polaroid, among others. When choosing a UV filter, quality is very important. A good UV filter does not compromise the authenticity of colours and will not affect your photos. This is due to the optical glass the filter is made of. Also pay attention to the filter size. A 38mm filter will not fit a 17mm lens. By using an adapter ring, you can attach a UV filter to a different lens size. Besides a UV filter, you can also use ND filters and polarisation filters. Ideal for shooting with long shutter speeds or determining light incidence.
