Description
TTartisan 50mm f/0.95 ASPH
The 50mm focal length is the classic choice for versatile photography. This “normal” angle of view matches what your eye sees, giving your images a natural and authentic look. Perfect for portraits, street photography and reportage. The minimum focusing distance of 70 centimeters gives you enough flexibility to get close to your subject for intimate portraits or detailed shots.
The exceptional f/0.95 aperture turns this lens into a true light monster in dark conditions. You can shoot effortlessly in low light without raising your ISO, resulting in clean, noise-free images. In addition, the extreme aperture provides breathtaking control over depth of field. You can isolate your subject with a beautifully soft background, while the 14 aperture blades create round, natural bokeh. This produces the characteristic dreamy look that is highly sought after in portrait and street photography.
The advanced optical construction consists of 11 elements in 8 groups. A double-sided aspherical element minimizes distortion and improves sharpness across the entire frame. Two ED (Extra-low Dispersion) elements effectively correct chromatic aberrations, ensuring accurate colors and clarity. The eight high-refractive elements keep the lens sharp even wide open, including in the corners. This optical configuration delivers outstanding image quality comparable to many more expensive alternatives.
Weighing 687 grams and measuring Ø74 x 72 millimeters, this lens is substantial yet still portable for daily use on a Leica M camera. The fully metal construction exudes quality and durability. The clicked aperture ring provides tactile feedback at each stop for precise exposure control. The manual focus ring turns smoothly and offers the control rangefinder photographers appreciate. The common 67mm filter thread makes it easy to add filters for extra creative possibilities.
Please note: this lens includes a calibration set (screwdriver and card) that allows you to adjust the rangefinder coupling yourself. For digital Leica M cameras with EVF this is straightforward; for analog cameras it requires a bit more work. A lens hood is not included.
