The Vanguard Alta Pro 2+ 263AP Tripod of aluminum alloy supports up to 5 kg, is folded about 76 cm in size and contains an Alta PH-32 three-way pan and tilt head with QS-60 V2 quick release plate . Each of the 3-part legs has an independent spread and twist-locks for quick placement. The three legs can be extended to reach a maximum height of 144 cm or 175 cm with the centre column fully raised. When the middle column and legs are retracted, the tripod kit has a length of 71 cm. Polymer covers on two of the legs provide a secure, comfortable grip when moving the tripod, and rubber feet help improve stability on a wide variety of surfaces.
Cameras or accessories that are compatible with a 1/4"-20 mount can be attached to the QS-60 V2 quick-release plate. The quick-release plate can be attached to or removed from the integrated clamp at the top of the PH -32 tilt and turn head by tightening or loosening the knurled locking knob of the clamp. There is a locking pin in the recessed area between the clamp's jaw that prevents an installed QS-60 V2 quick release plate from slipping accidentally when the clamp is opened. The quick-release plate is equipped with a rubber anti-slip platform while a spirit level is built in along the edge of the clamp.
The PH-32 3-way turn and tilt head can hold 360° are rotated and -60° backwards or 90° tilted forward. For portrait orientation it offers a sideways + 90°/- 30° tilt angle. Each of these three movements functions independently of each other and can be locked in place. For extra versatility, the centre column is connected to the tripod by a pivot point that is 90° makes it tillable up or down and can be locked in place. A nylon carrying bag with shoulder strap is included.
