The Venus LAOWA 4mm f/2.8 is a Circular Fisheye lens for Sony E-mount cameras. This lens lets you take unique shots and capture more than you can see with the naked eye. This is because it has a 210-degree field of view. Its huge depth of field allows you to capture everything superbly. It is not only sharp in the centre of the image, but also at the edges. Furthermore, the lens has a minimum focusing distance of 8 centimetres. This means you can capture unique images from both very close up and from and distance. For example, the extreme viewing angle allows you to capture animals up close in a funny way. Of course, you can also choose to capture the width of a landscape.
The lens captures everything spherical. Yet it is possible to remove this effect. You do this by de-fishing it, giving you regular ultra-wide-angle shots without extreme distortion. It is also possible to turn two to three images into a panorama. So you have plenty of creative options.
