The Voigtlander Nokton 50mm f/1.5 Aspherical II MC looks stylish, offers outstanding performance and is a slim full-length M-mount prime lens that stands out for its speed and classic rendering. The bright f/1.5 maximum aperture is suitable for working in low light and also offers greater control over depth of field for isolating subjects using selective focus. The optical design incorporates a double-sided aspherical element, which helps to deliver high sharpness and low distortion by suppressing a variety of aberrations.
This lens also features multi-coating to suppress lens flare for improved contrast and colour accuracy when working in strong lighting conditions. The manual focus design allows for working with subjects as close as 5.8 cm and a 12 blade aperture contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality that suits working with a shallow depth of field.
