Description
Voigtländer Septon 40mm f/2 ASPH - Nikon Z
The Voigtländer Septon 40mm f/2 ASPH is a compact pancake lens for full-frame Nikon Z-mount cameras, made for photographers who want high image quality in a small and lightweight setup. With the versatile 40mm focal length, you work with a natural perspective that’s perfect for everyday use. Thanks to the maximum aperture of f/2, you can also shoot in lower light and get a soft background blur.
The lens is fully manual and features an easy-to-use focusing ring. You can focus from as close as 30 cm, making it suitable for close-ups and detail shots as well. The optical construction with an aspherical element and the classic Orthometar design delivers sharp, high-contrast images with minimal distortion, right out to the edges of the frame.
Handy is that the Septon has electronic contacts: lens information is automatically stored in the EXIF data of your photos. If you use a compatible Nikon Z body with up-to-date firmware, you also benefit from in-body image stabilisation and focusing aids such as focus peaking and magnified view. The aperture ring has clear click stops in 1/3-stop increments, so you can set your exposure quickly and precisely.
