The Zeiss Batis 85mm F1.8 is a moderate telephoto lens which is constructed of 11 lens elements in eight groups and taken to the famous Zeiss Sonnar optical design. The lens elements are made of special glass and designed to ensure superior image quality.
The Zeiss Batis 85mm F1.8 is a particularly good choice for wedding photography and portraits, because of the opportunity to use the large aperture for creative ways to free up the main subject from the background. The nine blades of the nearly circular diaphragm provide a very nice bokeh. Thanks to the built-in optical image stabilization you can use this high-quality Zeiss lens to shoot under a wide variety of difficult lighting conditions.
