]The Zeiss Loxia 85mm F2.4 E-Mount is a compact telephoto lens for full-frame Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras. Ideal for Sony A7 cameras, but also for Alpha cameras with APS-C sensor. Because of the crop factor, the lens works like a 127,5mm. Due to the relatively high brightness of F2.4, you can shoot see in low light without using a flash or a tripod. This lens is characterized by its sleek design and impressive optical qualities.
The Loxia 85mm F2.4 uses the optimized Sonnar concept. This design uses seven elements in seven groups and includes three Anomalous partial dispersion elements. This results in an excellent image quality in which image defects such as light waste and chromatic aberration is minimized. In addition, a Zeiss T * anti-reflection coating is applied to the various lens elements. This results in improved contrast and a sharp reduction of lens flare and ghosting when working in strong light conditions.
Because it has an adjustable aperture, the Loxia 85mm is also suitable for capturing moving images. With the supplied key you can quickly switch to a click-free diaphragm. Adjusting the exposure or the depth of field, during recording, is silent. With an adjustment stroke of 220 ° you can set the manual focus very precisely.
The Loxia 85mm is equipped with an integrated electronic interface through which all EXIF information is transferred to the camera. You can set the camera so that the image center is enlarged as you turn the focus ring. The all-metal lens is provided with a weather-proof seal of the lens housing. This is to protect the image sensor or rear lens element from moisture and dust.
