Description
Zhongyi Mitakon 135mm f/2.
The Zhongyi Mitakon 135mm f/2.5 produces a beautiful bokeh through 9 blades with a circular aperture. The background is blended softly like butter. Great control over depth of field can be achieved with focusing technique, offering a high level of creative potential with the lens. The perfect separation of subject from background makes the lens ideal for portrait photography.
Zhong Yi has improved the optical design of the Mitakon Creator 135mm f/2.5 lens based on experience in producing 135mm lenses. 2 Super ED glass elements (extra low dispersion) and 2 glass elements with ultra-high refractive index are precisely deployed for optimal sharpness. Images taken with it show sharp detail, even in the corners, with minimal field curvature to ensure the highest possible resolution is maintained along the edges of the area in view.
Clear scale markings on aperture ring and focus ring are embedded in the rugged metal housing. Long focusing distance enables precise focusing on target objects. The lens hood is designed to be longer than before, reducing lens flare and ghosting.
Apochromatic (APO) lens
Super ED and ultra-high refractive index glasses in the Creator 135 f/2.5 lens design help achieve APO quality. Chromatic aberration is well suppressed down to the smallest details. There are no more distracting colour fringing along highlighted areas above the image. A perfectly coloured, exceptionally sharp portrait image with beautiful bokeh is achievable with this lens in strong light.
Internal focus and no focus breathing
The new 135mm has an internal focus design, where there is no extension/retraction of the lens housing when adjusting the focus ring. Filters, mat boxes or other camera accessories can be securely mounted on it. Focus breathing is designed so that the transition from the shifting area in focus is silky smooth.
